
STARTING WHERE YOU ARE
We begin therapy where you are. We start with what is going on now. Do you ever feel like your brain is telling you that you should be healed by now or that you should be able to handle anything? And despite this message in your mind, you still feel anxious, sad, confused, angry, or stuck? I offer clients a safe environment and honest non-judgmental support to explore and express themselves. I help you connect your head to your heart. Your brain to your body. My therapeutic approach is integrative, allowing me to draw on a variety of modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques to help guide my counseling. Because everyone is unique, the type of therapy that I provide depends on your needs and your goals for change.
Building an authentic and solid relationship with my clients is the foundation for a good therapeutic outcome. Trust and support are at the heart of helping you on your path to self awareness and healing. I find trust to be one of the most important qualities that clients need to help grow and change. That might not come easy to you and that is ok. We will proceed at the rate that your nervous system allows in our work together.
